Coffea arabica - Coffee Plant
Coffea arabica is the perfect houseplant, with with glossy leaves, fragrant white flowers, and red berries. It's easy to grow in a container, thrives in bright indirect light and demands little care.
This strain is source of the world's finest coffee beans. To produce a good crop, you'll need filtered sun, rich moist soil, and a warm climate. Coffee is native to the Arabian peninsula and thrives outdoors in zone 9-11. This is a beautiful plant for your garden, is equally lovely indoors.
Soak the seeds and peel off the hulls before planting. Keep them warm and moist, about 80 degrees, till germination, then transplant and keep the soil moist. Germination takes about 60 days.
