Lamb's Ear - Stachys byzantina

Lamb's Ear is the perfect ground cover for a dry sunny spot. Its wooly silver foliage quickly forms a dense, delightful mat that contrasts nicely with other foliage and flowers. It makes everyone else look good.

This easy care perennial thrives in zones 4 through 9. It loves in full sun and dry gardens (but does not object to regular water). It's as soft and furry as it looks and even blooms lavender flower spikes, lovely as cut flowers, an excellent flower for drying.

Plant Lamb's Ear in a container or use it as an easy ground cover. Sun, part shade, drought tolerant, deer-proof. It's almost too easy.  In cool zones, it will return from the roots and can be divided if if you want more.
