Pusa Asita - Rare Black Carrot
This intensely purple carrot was developed in India to be more nutritious for local farmers. Its abundance of antioxidants gives it a richer flavor (eat colorful foods!) and it's absolutely gorgeous.
These are open-pollinated seeds, not hybrids (and certainly not GMO). They were developed by plant breeder Pritam Kalia so farmers in India could save their own seeds and grow better, more nutritious crops.
Pusa Asita does especially well in warm climates. Let a few go to flower so you can save seed. These seeds are rare!
