Tropeana Lunga Italian Heirloom Onion
Tropeana Lunga is a red torpedo onion that's very popular with Italian chefs. The mild tender bulbs are wonderful cooked or eaten fresh from the garden. Long tapered bulbs are red on the outside, pink inside, beautiful sliced on a plate.
This late variety can be direct sown outdoors in January-February and harvested in June-July. Quite rare in America, you wont find Tropeana Lunga in the supermarket as it doesn't store well, but it's perfect for the home garden. These seeds were imported from Italy. 110 days.
