Asclepias exaltata - Poke Milkweed
Asclepias exaltata is a tall, elegant milkweed that actually blooms in the shade. It loves cold climates and is often found on the edges of forests. This is the butterfly weed for moist, shady conditions. Hardy in Zones 4 to 7.
Clusters of white-pinkish flowers droop elegantly on slender stalks. They're amazingly fragrant. Plant in fall for spring blooms.
