Papaver rhoeas - Pink Shirley Poppy Mix

Here's enough poppy seed to plant a pink meadow. Shirley Poppies are easy to grow. They reseed and naturalize without human intervention. The 3" blossoms look like crinkled silk.

This is a special mix of pinks, peaches, and white.

Shirley Poppies are annuals and can be grown anywhere. The seeds are tiny. Mix them with sand, then scatter the mixture as thinly as you can. The seeds should not be covered.

In warm zones, sow seeds in the spring and they'll come up in fall. Where it's cool, sow them in fall and they'll sprout when the ground thaws. They like full sun, occasional water, and poor soil.
