Felicia amelloides - Blue Marguerite

$5.99

Felicia amelloides is a real eye-catcher. Striking sky-blue flowers with yellow centers stand high above the leaves. It's fast growing, needs little care, and blooms almost year round. True blue is a rare flower color, but Felicia is definitely blue.

This beauty complements any landscaping, country cottage to xeriscape. Native to South Africa, it needs good drainage, prefers sun but blooms in the shade, even tolerates trampling and will recover from a light frost. Perennial in zones 9-11, Felicia is a delightful annual elsewhere. Seeds germinate easily. A light pruning in summer will encourage more flowers.

Butterflies love Felicia. Pests do not. The perfect plant.

*****30 days of cold stratification required!*****

Surface sow seeds in a pot or a plastic baggie that will fit in the refrigerator.

Mist the soil and sprinkle a small amount of starting soil over seeds.

Cover with plastic wrap or place in baggie in the refrigerator for 30 days.

During this cold stratification process keep soil moist, but not soaking wet.

At the end of the 30 Days, place pot in a warm, sunny location. When soil is warm enough seeds will germinate.
