Berkeley Tie Dye Pink - Amazing Tomato
Berkeley Tie Dye Pink is this year's superstar tomato. It's spectacular to look at and monumentally delicious. In taste tests, the rich flavor repeatedly beats out Cherokee Purple, (the standard for heirloom deliciousness). This is the best tasting tomato ever!
The hefty fruits are zapped with orange and electric green stripes and they're equally flashy inside. Compact plants are vigorous, early to bear, and well adapted to almost all climates. Excellent sweet, rich dark tomato flavor. Moderate tomato climate recommended. Early to mid-early, 65-75 days.
The medium size fruits have orange, red and lime green stripes. The flavor is very sweet and tangy. It's not an overly productive tomato, but worth growing for its flavor and beauty. The tomatoes weigh 8-10 ounces.
Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in California is responsible for this morsel of genius. You can buy plants from him later in spring.
